1966 GT40 Continuation 40th Anniversary Edition by Derrick Walker Race Team In Collaboration with GT40 North America & Original 1966 GT40 Blue-prints This build was designed by Andrew Broadley of GT40 North America, the son of the original GT40 designer Eric Broadley, using the original Blueprints from 1966. Modern Technology were utilized for this 2004 Built. The tub, interior, and exterior bodywork are professional racing car quality Carbon Fiber well executed to be incredibly stronger than the original build, but much lighter in weight ( under 2,000 pounds). Painted Bright Racing Viper Yellow with Dual Black Racing Stripes down the entire middle. The frame is squared and tubular steel depending on architecture location, with adjustable coil over springs on all 4 corners. Double Pane firewall glass inserted between cockpit and the rear engine bay. Powered by a rear mounted 351 cui (5.8L) Ford Crate Racing Engine bored and stroked to 427 cui (7.0L) to eliminate the weight of a big block engine, mated to a heavy duty 5-speed Manual Transmission (UN1-16 GearBox), and has the famed "Bundle-of-Eight-Snakes" less restrictive exhaust. The seats are upgraded black leather PGT 40 stitched into the headrest and remain in excellent condition making this GT40 for the build comfortable each seat is equipped with a 5-point Simpson racing harness. The dash houses a full set of racing gauges, all functioning properly, and a removable GT40 steering wheel. The rear camera connects to a pop out 7 inch screen in the middle of dashboard for continuous rear viewing whenever the key is on turned on position. This AM/FM HD radio CD DVD USB satelitte Stereo System was installed on September 2017 Carbon fiber interior is very visible and the interior door design showing all the carbon fiber architecture is attractive and useful. Gurney Bubbles (Exposed Carbon Fiber) are situated above both driver and passenger seats for extra headroom for taller drivers. This GT46 sits aggressively upon a seat of upgraded deep dish 17 inch polished hailbrand style knock-off wheels wrapped in brand new 315/35ZR17 Nitto NT01’s in rear and 255/40ZR17 Nitto Nt01 front. Air conditioning was also built into the design as a modern technology.
